In 1999 our family moved to the picturesque

Yellowstone river valley Montana. We soon

realized that there are more animals in Montana

than people. As aspiring spinner and dyer, I soon found a group of like minded

people and we joined the local guild.

I took a spinning class and found I loved the art of spinning yarn. I also fell in love with color. I began to try my hand at the dying of wool. I have now been dyeing yarn and roving for about 10 years.

We moved to St Louis Louis Missouri about 6 years ago and soon became involved with the fiber community here.

We have made many new friends and learned new skills.

I have begun dying warp yarn and recently began making felted items. I have learned to needle felt and started creating felted relief paintings

I have a passion for gnomes. Each one I make is unique, with a name and a story. They are created from handmade, hand dyed felt. These gnomes are lovingly made in the Scandinavian Style, with felted designs and embroidered hats. The beards are made from alpaca, llama, mohair and wool of all sorts.
